JoPD is the first internet star in GaYo scene. When he was studing music in US, he uploaded his mp3s in 98 and many netizens fascinated. He is recurred as post-SeoTaeJi. His internet hit songs were contained his first album, < Stardom >. Most songs banned on the broadcast, the banning made hie more famous. I think he's a good rapper. In late 90s Korean rappers became very deft and hiphop scene became bigger and bigger. This album laugh at distorted society, so people who heard his rap liked. And the sound of the album similar to G-Funk sound like WarrenG or 2Pac partly. But some songs contain dangerous thought. For example the lyrics of [Play:JoPD1YongEuiNunMul.mp3 YongEui NunMul; Tears of Dragon] is like this.

New Millenium I hope that Asia rules the World... Then Yankees will buy expensive Korean Car than Benz.... They will eat KimChi like that we eat cheese.... All this American Culture. Worldwide is Americaniztion....

Wow, it's not easy to translate Korean rap to English. Sorry for poor convert. Anyway the song contained the criticism for Americanism, it's good. But he says we wanna be another America, it's nationalism, very dangerous mind. His rap is cool, but listeners must filter the lyrics themselves. And he made his own label Stardom and releases some hiphop albums with his producing, perhaps he wants to be DrDre or RzA. But he is just a baby, I think. Anyway he is young(born in 1975) and he have possiblity still.
