This is a project album, I think. Novasonic are KimSeHwang (guitars and vocals), LeeSuYong (drums and percussions), KimJinPyo (rap and vocals) and KimYeongSeok (bass and vocals).

All the music is written by KimYeongSeok and the lyrics by KimJinPyo. I guess they were trying to do something with rock and rap, but I don't think their attempted "sonic" is really "nova," at all. I thought JinPyo's latest work was great, but this isn't something that would work out that well. I am sure there are better new ways to mix these two genres. Besides, their sound is too clean, for its effectiveness...

And what's up with the photo shoot? I almost laughed out loud. Very glam rock-ish make-up and hair-dos. :) Reminded too much of Shin, Hae Chul. I have nothing against long hairs, but those outfits...

Bottom line: I'd stick with JP's latest album. --HongCho, 1999-06-08
