She is a new comer. Very young. A promising vocal talent. At least she is writing words. One interesting thing is that she is doing mini concerts regularly. I guess it's a good thing. Her real name is KimJaeWon.

This is her debut album. I've read somewhere that all the lyrics were written by Riaa while she was at high school. And I think she had a group of talented songwriters. Have to see what becomes of her.

Her second album. Although Riaa had some problems with her throat last year, she came through well and completed her latest work. She did a lot of work herself, too. Wrote all her lyrics and a couple of songs. The musical color of this album comes from the album's producer Son, MuHyeon who did most of the orchestrations. But most of all her unique vocal quality brings this album to life.
Already, KBS (you know the stupid and very conservative channel of the Korean government propaganda) has banned two tracks (gga ddong chul hak and GaBeoRyeo) from airing due to very obscure and silly reasons. But who cares? They are even more stupid than Dilbert's boss. :b
Man, I do miss not having a fast, persistent network connect at home!
It's amazing to see her second album within less than a year. Considering she had a throat problem, I think it shows how driven Riaa is.
For this album, Son, MuHyeon did most of the orchestration and acted as a producer. I think you can hear his influence (funky guitar grooves, etc.).
Amazingly most of the songs are likeable although some can say they've gotten less rock-based (whatever that means). I think this is another winner for her.
Besides writing all the words to the songs herself again, she wrote two songs (the first and the last tracks) and did the orchestration for the first track herself. I think she is on the right track to finding her own music.

Who said this was a ballad album? Sure, it's definitely toned down from her previous two albums, but I wouldn't call this "ballad" album. I think the PR people got ahead of themselves when they read the album title. :)
Riaa's third album in one and a half year is also produced by two great musician, OSeokJun and SonMuHyeon. And since she seems to be with the same management/production group as Zipper, you can see quite an overlap of musicians involved, including LeeHanCheol. As always, Riaa wrote all the words, but this time, she didn't write any of the music.
One thing I want to point out before finishing up this mini review: about eighteen months ago, she had zero original number to perform. Now she has about thirty of her own music on top of several Pop/Rock numbers. Pretty good, I'd say.
Bottom line: Good for Riaa's fan. Somewhat mediocre for those people who got very excited with her second album. But still, I think it's pretty good.

She is a rare female rocker and very young. She became popular as releasing her album. Like other female singer-songwriter she sung ballad or love songs but basically she is a rocker. After trouble with former management, in this album she started various style like funnky, hip hop but slightly with producer SongJaeJun(aka CaptainFuture). I think she is wandering her own style and commercial success. She doesn't a idol and her albums sold as well. She need a breakthrough in musical or in commercial part. Cause of young age, she deals the problems of youth in her lyrics well. And her music is good for the lyrics. This album is reissue of her former album < ...ChatGi > with 2 new songs.
