KimMinGi is one of the most important folk singer in GaYo history. His song [Play:KimMinGi_AChimISeul.mp3 AChim ISeul] sung by YangHuiEun and it became anthem of social movement. After the song [Play:KimMinGi_AChimISeul.mp3 AChim ISeul], he released many good folk songs. He was BobDylan of Korea. His songs contain tender but strong emotion. The power of common people is in his lyrics.

Goverment pressed him but he devoted his youth to social movement. He made the theatrical songs like 'GongJangEui BulBit'(Light of the Factory) and GaeDdongI in 80s. Perhaps the musics released as illegal tape only. He became the owner and manager of theater HakJeon in 90s. And he assorted his songs with rerecording on 4 LPs and CDs. This legendary his debut LP never released on CD. I have reissued LP. --DisTort, 1999
