This, I really can't describe. I had to buy the CD because it had such an appealing cover design... Before going further with the discussion of the music, I should mention the name ParkHwalMin. This album, which has a subtitle of 'digital humanism', Techno Death Theory, is trying to be a multi-media work involving sounds and pictures. Mr. Kim did the sound part, and Mr. Park provided pictures for the CD jacket and covers. Besides Mr. Kim, JeongSeokHeui (#7 & #10) and DjAdam (#11) did music for some tracks.

Musically, I'd say EoEoBu Project Sound is the closest. It's not a popular music album. It's not even really music. I'd say it's combination of sampled recordings and synth sounds and effects. Actually, it sounds a lot like those late 70s, early 80s (maybe in the 60s as well) German/European electronic modern music experiments. So, you can say it's nothing new. I just find it amusing that this kind of CDs are even released, this late. I mean the current European techno had roots in these early experiments. I hope these Korean efforts also can give a "birth" (not "death") to a Korean kind of techno/pop.

Bottom line: I can't recommend it to anyone, really. I wish something good come out of these late experiments.
