This is a single album with three tracks. I believe the CD began sales early this year. The band has three members, LeeGwangGyu (drums), HongGiSeop (guitars), and KimHoJun (guitars). Besides the perculiar band name, FunnyPowder and their own homepage, they have this "concept" of the band members coming from outer space. For an extra-terrestrial music, it's too plain, I guess. :)
Musically, they are rap/pop/rock. They seem to playing their own grooves and some melodic lines, but mostly their words are expressed in raps. Although the producer of the album (who is known as SuMyeonBuJog Bros.) claims the band's strong point is their unconventional lyrics, I don't think I can say the same. The words were pretty plain. Not conventional, but not extraordinary either. However, their grooves and licks seem to be pretty good. The second track, BbeongSamI, has pretty good sounds and construction.

As growing the indie scene, many various style appeared. FunnyPowder is rap/core/funky band partly similar to RedHotChilliPeppers. They started the band through the private internet marketing. Their internet broadcasting live and single CD selling was not so bad. They called themselves aliens from other planet. I like their stage manner and lyrics. 3 members do the rap all, with givign and taking the cynical words. Very funky. The song [Play:FunnyPowder1BbeongSamI.mp3 BbeongSamI] satirize the former president KimYeongSam. It makes me cool. He was one of the poorest boss. This first official album[not best!] contains some previous released songs on their 2 singles and many new tracks. They became famous band with this album and many live gig. But tracks on this album is similar to one another.
