1 개요

함수 [math]\displaystyle{ f(x) }[/math]가 닫힌 구간 [a, b]에서 연속이고 열린 구간 (a, b)에서 미분 가능일 때

[math]\displaystyle{ f'(c) = \frac{f(b) - f(a)}{b-a} \, . }[/math]

를 만족하는 c 가 반드시 하나 이상 존재한다.
