Researchers claim this is the first video showing Korean ‘comfort women’

연구자들은 이것이 한국인 '위안부'가 나오는 가장 앞선 영상이라고 한다.

These women are presumed to be Korean sex-slaves kidnapped by the Japanese army. The man speaking appears to be a Chinese officer of the U.S.-China combined forces. It's the only known footage of "comfort women" in existence. Researchers say two of the women in the video have appeared in previously released photos. The issue was once little acknowledged in South Korea or Japan, but came to the forefront when survivors began speaking out in the 1990s.
