TRADER HORNE-Morning Way

[I Talk To The Wind]를 다시 불러버리고는 정말 바 람처럼 King Crimson의 족보에서 사라진다.

Trader Horne - Morning Way Spirogyra, Mellow Candle, 'Bread, Love And Dream,' Whistler, Fairfield Parlour, Tudor Lodge…, 그리고 Keith Cross & Peter Ross, Palour Band…. 과연 Folk가 Art Rock의 범주에 들어가는 것이 합당한가 (물론 mellow Candle, Spirogyra, 'Bread, Love And Dream,'
항상 희망에 찬 [Better Than Today], Traditional을 편곡한 [Down And Out Blues], 풋풋한 따사로움이 베어 오르는 연주곡 [Three Rings For Eleven Kings], Dyble의 애처로운 목소리가 가 슴을 절절히 울리는 [Morning Way]…, 그리고 전곡을 마치 한곡을 감상한 듯이 느껴지게 하는 곡간에 등장하는 Main Theme.

COVERARTS

Trader Home 의 Morning Way(아침 길)...

■JENNY MAY
Hey, Jenny May, are you coming out to paly
I'm all alone and my dadd's gone away
I'll be Jessy James and you be an Indian
If we have a fight
I might even let you win, Jenny May.

*Hey, Jenny May, are you coming out to paly
I'm all alone and my dadd's gone away Jenny May.

If you wish, you'll get a silver dish
If you hope, you'll get a shippin' rope
But if you cry
There'll be witches in the sky, Jenny May.

(*Repeat twice)

We were playing the games in the rain
If it rains we'll come back home again.

(*Repeat twice)

I'm all alone and my daddy's gone away Jenny May.

■CHILDREN OF OARE
Morning came and morning went
All of my life my loving was spent
I looked out my window too lazy to yawn
It worries me finding my lady had gone

*Oh, yes, suddenly be
Golden sand swept in from the sea.

Guilded horsemen in my dreams
Ride their fiery frenzy stits
Captural a mermaid who cried bitterly
And drove her people back into the sea.

(*Repeat)

The children of Tabial glid
Play in the islands of iceburgs at will
The carnival opens
The children are playing
Singing the songs la-da-do-da-de.

(*Repeat)

I hear the masters, they're calling to me
The wind carries their words
Straight over the sea
They told me the story's of people at war
Where blood ran like water
And hate spread like fire.

(*Repeat)

■THREE RINGS FOR ELEVEN KINGS

(Instrumental)

■GROWING MAN
Is it you, my traveler, coming home to me
Oh, I am a weary man
Yes, I think it's me

Paint for me your picture
Of the city in your way

You will not see no colors
But a million shades of gray.

Where did you go to and what did you feel
I felt a city burn away
But flames I did not see.

Did you make good friends in your city hall
No money buys you friendship
And so I lived alone.

*Don't ask me why I'm happy
Don't tell me, I look sad
I can't help it
I'm a growing man.

Did you meet a famous man or woman
In the street
Once I saw a puppet man
With people at his feet.

Tell me, my traveler
What words did he speak
He speak them words like fire
And told them they were free.

What did you say of him, what did you see
Someone sang a song a people laughed
And I could not believe.

tell me my traveler, what did you learn
That wisdom lies in truth itself
And sorrow hides in score.

(*Repeat twice)

■DOWN AND OUT BLUES
Once I lived a life of a millionaire
Had a lot of money, I hadn't a care
Took all my friends out for a good times
Buying champagne, liquor
And plenty of wine.\\
Then when my money began to get low
Didn't have no friends, no place to go
If ever I get my hands on a dollar again
I'm going to squeeze it to
That eagle grins.

*No nobody wants you
When you're down and out
In my (your) pockets not a one penny
All your pretty friends you haven't any
Then when you found your feet them (again)
Everyone wants to be your long lost friends
Mighty strange without a doubt
Nobody wants you when you're down and out.

(*Repeat)

Nobody needs you
Nobody needs you
Nobody needs you
It's mighty strange that nobody wants you
When you're down and out.

■THE MIXED UP KIND
Well, my grandfather spoke to me
And told me of his fear
And he smashed mighty soldiers
His eyes were full of tears
Well, a river folowed down my face
And ran across the floor
And the people who jumped over it
Were washed up on the shore.

*Oh, the mixed up kind
Oh, the mixed up kind
The mixed up kind
The mixed up kind.

**Well, the stars fell like dust
And everybody died
And the sky shed a million tears
And everybody cried
Well, the singer sang his song
That had one word
And the runner came in far too late
From running around the world.

(*Repeat)

(**Repeat)

(*Repeat)

■BETTER THAN TODAY
Yesterday was better than today
Yesterday was when I went away
Tomorrow I will have a brand new car
If I get a letter tomorrow will be
Better than today
Do lu, do lu, lu lu lu...\\
Do lu, do lu, lu lu lu...

You're raging hair is hanging down your back
And all the dreams you had are coming back
When you have your pockets filled with gold
You don't have to make up or even use
Your make-up when your old
Do lu, do lu, lu lu lu...\\
Do lu, do lu, lu lu lu...

Yesterday was better than today
Steadily my hair was turning gray
I am fifty years, fifty one
When we reach New Mexico
The party it will start go again.\\
Do lu, do lu, lu lu lu...\\
Do lu, do lu, lu lu lu...

■IN MY LONELINESS
I'm sitting here in my confusion
I'm crying in the desert sand
I'm only happy
When I'm sleeping here with you
Leave me alone with my loneliness.

You use to sit and talk of freedom
The words you spoke were so sincere
But I was just a fool to want you even more
Leave me alone in my loneliness.

But I was just a fool to want you even more
Leave me alone with my loneliness.

You played and sang until the dawning
Your love was present in my ears
The poetry you spoke is longing in my head
Leave me alone with my loneliness.

■SHEENA
Sheena, oh, Sheena
Just came in from Monteria
Every night and day I've been goin gcrazy.

Sheena, oh, Sheena
Steel guitar and saxophone
Who would like to know who she's taking home.

I'm playing the piano
Till my fingers like bananas
But I want to go
But I have to keep a playing through the day
And through the war until I get back my home.

Sheena, Sheena, oh, Sheena
Burgundy and Moi Joliette
And when Sheena stays
She throws her pants away.

I'm playing the pianos
Till my fingers like bananas
And it hurts me so
But I have to keep a playing through the day
And through the war until I get back my home.

Sheena, oh, Sheena, going back to Monteria
By this time today I should be far away.

No more plaing the piano
Till my fingers like bananas
I got up to go
That I had to keep a playing
Through the day
And through the war just to learn Sheena
Oh, Sheena

■THE MUTANT
He is the fakir that sits by the river
Holding wing dix sticks in front of his eyes
Thinks of the aged
Who feared they would wither
Living their lives just fearing to die.

Carboard on leather and synthetic fiber
Don't cover this body or flutter his mind
The earth is like heaven
And the water like stardom
He walks on the ground and flys in the sky.

The monk in the glass house
Was breaking his fingers
Doing his penitence for someone to see
The head in the alley
Was licking is pepers
And thinking he's thinking he's better than me.

He is but wisdom
Who looks and the yungster
Driving, serving, contriving but free
And if in his waderings
He should pass your door steps
Strike-up your matches
there's so much to see.

■MORNING WAY
Dreaming strands of nightmare
Are sticken to my feet
It's time to wake up and throw away
The lost remaining sheet.

Sunlignt sliding down my back
And dripping on the gray
It's time to watch the drawing

Light reveal the morning way
Dreams are fading now it's nearly noon
And then it's afternoon
The leaves are creeping green inside the day.

*And where are the friends
Who use to lend me love
All above my head
And looking down at me
To smile at how it ought to be.

(*Repeat)

■VELVET TO ATONE
Velvet is soft as a kitten's meow
Satin is harsh as a scream
In fancy clothes of cloth like this
Who knows what you dream

Your eyes seem as soft as a piece of fur
But they gleam as hard as cold
If your lips were to speak sweet words of love
It would prove you had no soul

So if you need a friend who will help you to win
This hole that you've started alone
Take care that you choose one with your kind of mind
And make sure you stay unknown

■LUKE THAT NEVER WAS
The lark in the morning brings out the day
And leaves me sleeping behind the hay
Can't you see it's only me that you see
Only me.

I shook a leave for the leaping moon beam
We walked in the grass
My eyes are green you know
I sell the sun
It took my eyes for a mountain run
The walk in the morning has me yawning

On top of a hill against the sun
My shadow ignores me when day is done
Can't you see its only can't you see
Only me.

*You know my feet get cold
And covered with dew
And my head is sleepy when the day is new
And they told us old people are lazy
So lazy
And with such good friends
I think they're crazy
They look funny as money
When they're yawning.

I shook a leave for the leaping moon beam
We walked in the grass
My eyes are green you know
I sell the sun
It took my eye for a mountain run.\\
