The NTP socket is in use, exiting

• ntpd가 NTP 소켓을 사용중이라, ntpdate 명령어 수행이 제대로 안되는 상태

2 문제상황

root@zetawiki:~# ntpdate time.bora.net
 2 Mar 01:30:13 ntpdate[27633]: the NTP socket is in use, exiting

3 조치

• ntpd 를 stop하고 ntpdate 명령어 수행

root@zetawiki:~# /etc/init.d/ntp status
 * NTP server is running

root@zetawiki:~# /etc/init.d/ntp stop
 * Stopping NTP server ntpd                                                         [ OK ]

root@zetawiki:~# ntpdate time.bora.net
 2 Mar 01:32:58 ntpdate[27749]: no server suitable for synchronization found

• 필요하다면 다시 ntpd start
