아마존웹서비스에서 인사드립니다.

대한민국 부가가치세법 제53조의 2에 의거하여, 아마존웹서비스에서는 대한민국 고객들에게 제공되는 클라우드 컴퓨팅 서비스들에 대해 10%의 부가가치세를 부과하게 됩니다. 이 부가가치세는 고객께서 2016년 1월 1일 이후부터 사용하시는 저희의 클라우드 컴퓨팅 서비스에 한해 적용될 것이고, 2016년 1월 이후의 대금청구서에 표기될 것입니다. 고객분들께서 지불하시는 모든 부가가치세는 대한민국 국세청에 납부될 것입니다.

그러나 한편으로는, 부가가치세가 클라우드 컴퓨팅 서비스를 사용하고 있는 대한민국의 사업자인 기업 고객들에게 부과될 것인지 여부에 대해 대한민국의 과세당국이 곧 결정을 내릴 것이라는 점을 주목해 주시기 바랍니다. 만약, 대한민국의 기업고객이 클라우드 컴퓨팅 서비스에 대해서 부가가치세 면제 대상으로 결정이 된다면, 저희는 해당 내용을 기업고객분들께 알려드릴 것입니다. 아울러, 저희는 기업고객분들이 한국의 부가가치세 목적상 사업자에 해당함을 스스로 입증할 수 있도록 하기 위해 자사의 사업자 등록 번호를 업로드할 수 있는 웹사이트를 제공할 예정임을 알려 드립니다.

Greetings from Amazon Web Services,

Under Article 53-2 of the South Korean Value-Added Tax Law, Amazon Web Services is required to charge South Korean value-added tax (“VAT”) at 10% on web services supplied to South Korean customers. VAT will be applied to your use of our web services from 1 January 2016 onwards, and it will appear on your billing statement for January 2016. All VAT collected from customers will be paid to the South Korean tax authority.

However, please note that the South Korean authorities are expected to determine shortly whether VAT is also payable on cloud computing services sold to South Korean businesses. We will inform our business customers if the authorities determine that cloud computing services sold to South Korean business customers are VAT-free. We will provide a website for business customers to upload Business Registration Numbers to substantiate business status.
